"This is a beautiful home on the sweeping moors and gives you a real sense of the elements at play on the Isle of Skye. The view from the living room is absolutely stunning. Do come prepared for meals of breakfast and dinner, although there is a restaurant 2 miles down the road. There is a wonderful store where the drive meets the road which has just about anything a person needs. We were lucky enough to find out that a fisherman from another island brings fresh fish to the store every Tuesday. If you want a delivery, you will need to talk with the store clerk, as he just drops off the fish. We had a feast of fresh cod! If you have the time, do drive the north road, but be careful, as it is a one-lane road with turnouts. The house is fully equipped with a full kitchen, pots and pans. There are two bathrooms and two bedrooms, one with a king and one with twin beds. A very modern house (or updated). Beautiful bathrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay." Lois Albright. "Donna's house is very spacious and comfortable. It would be great for a family or friends traveling together. The cottage was extremely clean and the decor is very pleasing. We were initially worried that the location may have been too remote, but it actually is in the perfect location for enjoying the best of Skye. Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing, Kilt Rock, and Brother's Point are all just about a 10 minute drive from the house, and these were our favorite parts of the island. Fairy Glen is also a must-visit and is only 30 minutes from the house. We hope to return some day and stay at Donna's place again." Terrell Ormson. July 2017.

"This is the first time I been and stayed in the Staffin area but I am a regular on Skye. Taigh Na Croit is a wonderful 2 bedroom bungalow, immaculately clean on arrival. Staffin is about 2 miles away and the main town of Portree is about 17 miles away. There is a huge open plan living room, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you'll need for your stay. The views out through the window over the sink made me want to wash up - despite there being a dishwasher! There are large picture windows and a sliding patio door in the living room which give stunning views to the Quiriang and the sea at Staffin. A large TV, DVD Player and stereo are in the main living room. There is a Wii in the wardrobe in the main bedroom with a few games. The internet is not bad at all for the highlands, between 5 and 6 mbit/s. There is a large utility room with washer and a dryer. There is a large family bathroom with a bath with a shower over it. The bedrooms are both large, the master has a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a huge walk in shower. The 2nd bedroom is a twin. Both have plenty of storage space. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Watching the changing weather from the living room. I do suspect that for the photographers out there, there would be some stunning views at night with the dark skies here. The Aurora and the Milky Way should be visible to the naked eye from here. I'm sorry to say that the full moon stopped me from seeing anything. There are plenty of opportunities for walking nearby and I really enjoyed the cycling on my road bike. There are numerous cafes nearby to stop at - one, north of Flodigary was featured on Grand Designs a few years ago when it was being built. I would heartily recommend this rental to people visiting the area. The peace and calm of the location (hardly any traffic passes) along with the simply stunning views and amazing accommodation make this a great place to spend a week or two." Richard Nicholls. "Amazing, clean and practical cottage!!!!! We stayed in this wonderful, modern and clean cottage for a full week of August 2016. Everything is there, with equipment that looks like new, great beds, 2 bathrooms, a good internet (yes, it's still useful as there is no network there). It's spacious, with space to breathe. The only thing that may be added are 'blinders' as the light was waking us up a bit too early. It has been a great time at your cottage, and we will share the love :) Thanks!!" Jerome Mioso. August 2016.

"Beautiful stay. We liked very much this cottage, specially for the stunning view of the fields and the quiet location. Everything was as described by the owners.. and the cottage was very clean. The area is one of the most beautiful in Skye Island. I surely suggest this stay to others." Stefano Ferarri. August 2016.

"We stayed here last year and had very fond memories, the moment we stepped back into the cottage we knew returning here was the right thing to do. The cottage is perfect is so many ways: peaceful, fabulous views of the Trotternish Ridge, very comfortable, exceptionally clean and well cared for, well equipped. We loved every minute. The cottage has everything you could want in a holiday home, even very good wifi, unusual in some remote parts. This is a great bolt-hole from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. All in all, superb." Irene Fleming. June 2016.

"Taigh-Na-Croit is a fantastic cottage, very clean and has every mod-con you could need, the location could not be any more peaceful, and the view from the lounge stunning. The beds are very comfy, the showers are powerful and roomy. I could have quite easily have stayed for ever." Steve Law. Sept 2015.

"Very well appointed, beautiful cottage in very peaceful little hamlet, tastefully decorated and scrupulously clean. The sitting/dining room and kitchen area has windows or large patio doors on all sides with superb views to the Trotternish Ridge and the Western Isles. We had a very wet and windy day during our visit but because the room let in so much light we were more than happy just to stay in, relax and take in the views. A lot of effort has been put in to make this cottage so comfortable, it may be a holiday let but it is obvious some considerable effort has been made to ensure everything is of a very high standard. This was our second visit to Marishader, our first to the sister property of Trotternish Ridge View and it won’t be our last. This cottage really deserves 6 stars!" Irene Fleming. June 2015.

"Had a wonderful holiday. Cottage was beautiful and had excellent facilites. Location was stunning and very peaceful. Would highly recommend this to others." Andrew Graham. June 2015.

"Part of me wants to keep this a secret it is such a gem of a place. If you want peace and tranquility then look no further, the views are amazing. The cottage is furnished to a really high spec, just like being at home. It is warm and cosy, relaxing and a great base on Skye, out of the bustle of Portree but close enough to visit. The local store stocks everything and has a great Cafe. Love love love the place. Spotlessly clean." Pam Constable. May 2015.

"We never leave feedback on places where we have previously stayed but we just wanted to say how lovely and perfect the cottage is for a week's getaway! We experienced the changeable Scottish weather but still managed to see so much and explore the island! We could have done with another week as we weren't ready to go home! Thank you for making our holiday very special! On a side note we should have started the jigsaw earlier!!" Keeley Sutton. May 2015.

"Fantastic week at this lovely cottage. Immaculate condition and set in beautiful location. Great spot for star star gazing. We would highly recommend. Thank you." Rachel Reed. April 2015.

"This was our first cottage holiday and if all future cottages are as good as this one we will definitely do it again. The cottage was spacious and well furnished. It was very clean and we immediately felt comfortable and at home. Skye is very picturesque and we got some good walks in, and we were very lucky with the weather. All in all a good holiday and we would definitely stay here again if we came back. One thing to note is that it is in a fairly remote area at the north end of the island and makes travelling to other areas quite a long time. On the plus side it is lovely and peaceful and the views from the lounge amazing." Ann Lawman. September 2014.

"Outstanding! Our two week stay at Taigh-Na-Croit was superb. The cottage was sparkling clean and had all the amenities (including wifi) that could be desired. There was plenty of storage space and lots of room for free off-road parking. The view to the distant hills was superb. We especially appreciated the attentiveness of Mr. and Mrs. MacLeod." Samuel Logan. August 2014.

"We can highly recommend Taigh-Na-Croit. The cottage is very clean and comfortable with all mod cons. The view from the living room is stunning and watching the lambs an added bonus. It is in an excellent location to explore the island, with lots to see both near and further away. Can't wait to return." Alison Mitchell. April 2014.

"Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage, we wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was wonderful and the place is a credit to you. I would only suggest a mirror on the wall in the master bedroom near a power point so the ladies can see whilst drying their hair. We will have no hesitation recommending your cottage to our family and friends if they ever get to Skye." Deb and Gary Seeary. August 2012.

"Taigh-Na-Croit is a beautiful cottage with outstanding views, we enjoyed our stay there so much we didn't want to leave. We would definitely recommend to friends and hope we get the chance to stay there again sometime." Mr and Mrs Morris. July 2012.

"Just arrived back from a few days away in your wonderful cottage. Was really impressed with both the interior and exterior of the building. We called it our island hideaway. Everything about our stay was relaxed and stress free from start to finish. Thanks for making our stay a memorable one." Claire Smith. July 2012.
